Ravens Sign CB Rock Ya-Sin To One-Year Contract - PressBox

Over the years, the Las Vegas Raiders have struggled to retain quality players in the facility. As Raider Nation watched these guys excel on other NFL teams, names like Khalil Mack, Josh Jacobs, and Davante Adams come to mind. However, a number of non-star players, including Rock Ya-Sin, have also harmed the Raiders by departing. The team decided not to invite him back despite his impressive 2022 campaign for Las Vegas, and the squad’s secondary suffered without him.

Ya-Sin is still on NFL rosters each year, but at least he hasn’t been a standout on other teams. Amik Robertson, another former Raider, will be reunited with Ya-Sin when he signs with the Detroit Lions, according to a report by NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo on Thursday. In 2022, Ya-Sin participated in nine Las Vegas games, recording 45 tackles and seven passes defended. After playing with the Indianapolis Colts for the first three years of his NFL career after being selected by them in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, he joined the Raiders.

Amik Robertson injury update: Surgery for broken humerus, per report

Ya-Sin has never been injury-free for a complete season, although over the previous two seasons, he participated in 14 and 13 games with the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens, respectively. Now that Aaron Glenn is gone, he will join a youthful and dynamic secondary in Detroit with a new defensive coordinator.
