Jordan Schultz claimed that people close to the matter claim that Kellen Moore, a former quarterback for the Detroit Lions, would take over as the next head coach of the New Orleans Saints. Moore is presently the offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles after spending three seasons with the Lions from 2012 to 2014.

Moore is generally seen as the front-runner for the job, even if a deal has not yet been signed. According to Jordan Schultz, the reason for the delay is because Moore won’t be able to meet with the Saints in person until after the Eagles’ game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59. The Saints and Moore are anticipated to clinch an agreement after the game.

Moore joined the Lions in 2012 as an undrafted free agent from Boise State, marking the start of his NFL career.
