CBS Sports: Hailee Steinfeld’s immediate response to Bills QB Josh Allen in a 2-word message was shocking.
After defeating the San Francisco 49ers last week, the Buffalo Bills are on a major winning run. The Bills were the first NFL club to secure their division this early in 15 years, winning the AFC East title in addition to their seventh straight victory.
Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Bills, is the driving force behind Buffalo’s success and is leading the MVP race going into Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams. Allen became the first quarterback in NFL history to sprint, grab, and throw touchdowns in the same game as Buffalo’s 35-10 victory over the 49ers.
The second significant event in Allen’s personal life—his proposal to Hailee Steinfeld—was brought up by Bills head coach Sean McDermott after the 28-year-old quarterback was selected the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his valiant effort.
McDermott remarked, “What an accomplishment,” about Allen. “A better person couldn’t have experienced this. I’m very delighted for him, his off-field endeavors, his ongoing development, and the start of this new chapter in his life. I’m really proud of him, amazed, and enjoying seeing him develop throughout the years.”
Steinfeld thought back on the engagement and wrote a letter to supporters on December 6 before the Bills head to Los Angeles to play the Rams.
The Oscar-nominated actress commented, “Still here…” beside a picture from Allen’s proposal in Malibu, California.
Two days before to the 49ers-Bill game, the pair posted an Instagram confirmation of their engagement. Allen gave NBC reporter Melissa Stark some information on the historic event before to kickoff.
“He was all smiles,” Stark remarked when questioned about Allen’s conduct in relation to his engagement. The Bills player said he got her well and that Steinfeld was “very” startled by the proposal. The well-known pair hasn’t chosen a wedding date yet.
Right now, Allen is still focused on football. If the Bills wish to unseat the Kansas City Chiefs as the AFC’s top seed, they must continue to accumulate victories.

Although Steinfeld attended the 49ers-Bills game at Highmark Stadium, it is uncertain if she will attend Buffalo’s Week 14 game at SoFi Stadium. But given how close the game is to her Southern California home, the “Pitch Perfect” actress may make it a family event, as it did the previous season.
