🦅 A vote for Saquon | Sports Daily Newsletter

In his debut season with the Philadelphia Eagles, Saquon Barkley has been outstanding, rapidly demonstrating his value as an investment. The former No. 2 overall choice out of Penn State, who spent six seasons with the New York Giants, inked a three-year, $37.75 million contract with the Eagles this summer, making him the NFL’s fourth-highest paid running back. Thus far, it appears that the New York Giants made a mistake by allowing him to walk. Barkley has been particularly effective in November, as seen by the Eagles’ immaculate 4-0 record.

He was named the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Month for November on Thursday, demonstrating that his efforts throughout this span were not in vain. The NFL posted on social media, “The NFC Players of the Month! (November).”

Barkley ran for 159 yards on 27 runs and scored a touchdown in a spectacular performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars on November 3. In addition, he added a receiving touchdown and executed an unprecedented reverse hurdle that had NFL fans in awe for days. Barkley had a strong performance the next week, gaining 66 yards on 14 carries in an NFC East game against the Dallas Cowboys, although not putting up particularly impressive stats. Then came his crucial two-game run.
