ESPN: Bills sensational All-Pro linebacker back from injury, just in time for perfect primetime matchup.
Just in time for the ideal primetime clash, the Bills regain their All-Pro linebacker.
In addition to the Buffalo Bills playing for the first time since November 17th, a big fan favorite will be joining them for the first time since Week 5 of the previous campaign. Since October of last year, Matt Milano, an All-Pro linebacker, has struggled. Milano had a season-ending leg injury during Week 5 of the Bills’ trip to London last year, which kept him out of action for the whole season.
Milano tore his bicep before the season began, and he hasn’t played since. He recovered from the injury and was ready to play this season. There was a time when it was unclear if he would be able to participate this season. For the first time in more than a year, #58 will be on the field, and the timing couldn’t be more ideal.
The Bills activated Milano off the injured list, according to Adam Schefter’s report on Saturday, and he should be able to play against the 49ers’ ailing offense.
Matt Milano returns to the Bills in time for the ideal primetime matchup.
We all know how important Milano’s presence is, but Buffalo’s defense has managed to remain one of the best in the league even without him. He is capable of covering any tight end in the league and stopping the run. In addition, we have only witnessed him and Terrel Bernard together in four whole games. It will be a lot of pleasure to see this pair on the field once more.
With Milano returning in time for this game against the 49ers, Buffalo has an opportunity to eliminate tight end George Kittle, one of San Francisco’s best weapons. Kittle has amassed 642 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in nine games. Due to Deebo Samuel’s declining output and Brandon Aiyuk’s season-long absence, Kittle has got the chance to become Brock Purdy’s go-to man.
Putting Milano on coverage duty on Kittle will restrict Purdy’s output and deprive him of one of his main offensive weapons, depending on how much of the game he plays. The 49ers are headed for a catastrophe because Purdy is without the left side of his offensive line and lacks a go-to weapon.
When Milano returns to the field for the first time in a long time, Bills supporters will be thrilled. All we can do now is hope he can remain healthy and continue to play a role in the strategy for the remainder of this season.
