CBS Sports: Due to a troubling video leak, the Chiefs vs. Raiders game on Black Friday was deemed “rigged.”
The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 19–17 on Friday, pulling victory out of the jaws of defeat once more. With the victory, Kansas City improved to 11-1 on the season and maintained their lead in the AFC Conference. Whatever you think of it, this squad is currently figuring out how to keep winning back-to-back crowns.
Fans, however, consider one of those “ways” to be outright cheating.
The Chiefs vs. Raiders game on Black Friday was deemed “rigged” due to a troubling video leak.
NFL fans were persuaded that the Black Friday game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders was manipulated by its strange conclusion:
The visitors, led by Aidan O’Connell, came very close to giving the Kansas City Chiefs just their second defeat of the year. With just 15 seconds left, the Raiders were getting ready to set up a game-winning try by Daniel Carlson at the KC 32, where they were facing a 3rd-and-3 situation.
However, Jackson Powers-Johnson botched the snap that the Chiefs recovered for a turnover, and the Raiders gave the game away. A flag on the play caused uncertainty, although it was insignificant since the Raiders had committed an illegal shift penalty.
Fans quickly began accusing the Kansas City Chiefs of being “rigged” after they managed to win by a slim margin of one touchdown once again. In order to end with a better draft pick, some even claimed that the Raiders tanked:
One admirer said, “Vegas made the call.”
Another viewer commented, “What makes it even stranger is that the referees blew the whistle and the play was dead before any recovery.”
Try harder,
“@nfl, do better. One of the worst things I’ve ever witnessed was the Chiefs/Raiders’ demise. “It’s understandable why people think it’s rigged,” a frustrated fan commented.
Another fan commented, “This league is so rigged for Mahomes and the Chiefs lol. I’m not big on conspiracy theories.”
Raiders cover: “My last pick falls into the category of sports are rigged.” The Chiefs prevail. unlawful shift. “Clockwork,” said one enthusiast.
One fan said, “This tank job is unbelievable, the Raiders just gave the Chiefs a free win.”
“To be honest, the Raiders did a better tank job. Let them know that you *could’ve* won but didn’t. Another person said, “Shedeur is going to look great in that silver and black.”
