After pursuing Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and collapsing to the ground, Paschal departed the game. At first, he was categorized as questionable to return due to a knee injury. He was finally downgraded to out after spending the following quarter walking around on the sidelines to try out his knee. Mekhi Wingo, a rookie, and Al-Quadin Muhammad took his spot in the lineup.

Then, in the last seconds of the first half, Onwuzurike was taken down. Onwuzurike was ruled out due to a hamstring injury when the teams came to the field for the second half after he had gone to the locker room with nine seconds remaining in the first half.

With Kyle Peko, John Cominsky, Marcus Davenport, and Aidan Hutchinson on injured reserve, the Lions already have a somewhat weak defensive line. Hopefully, these injuries won’t be regarded as chronic.
