CBS Sport: Former Steelers sensational player sign a blockbuster deal with Baltimore Ravens.

Patriots reportedly work out veteran defensive end Chris Wormley - Pats  Pulpit

It is said that Chris Wormley will return to the Ravens, the team that selected him in the first round seven years ago.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports that the veteran defensive tackle, who worked out in Baltimore on Monday, is signing to the practice squad.

After working him out today, the #Ravens are adding veteran DL Chris Wormley to their practice squad, according to a source. Wormley, a 2017 third-round selection, is back with the team that selected him in the draft.

The 30-year-old Wormley made four tackles in five games for the Carolina Panthers in the previous campaign. He was moved by the Ravens to their rival in March 2020, and he played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for three years.

With four sacks and five tackles for loss in four games against Baltimore, Wormley caused the Ravens some serious grief for that trade. In 15 games, he recorded 51 tackles and seven sacks during his incredible 2021 season as a Steeler.

Wormley was selected by the Ravens in the third round of the 2017 draft. with his three seasons with Baltimore, he made thirteen game starts. With 33 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 2019, he had his best season as a Raven.

Nnamdi Madubuike and Travis Jones are leading the way on Baltimore’s defensive line, which is being followed by Michael Pierce, Broderick Washington, and Brent Urban. Wormley would provide the squad additional seasoned depth and might be called up to gameday roster if needed.

Zaire Mitchell-Paden, a tight end, was also added by the Ravens to their practice squad on Monday. Born and raised in Rockville, Maryland, Mitchell-Paden most recently played for the Cleveland Browns.
