Report: Aaron Judge send a strong message to the Boston Red Sox after series win.
After the Boston Red Sox series ended, the usually composed Aaron Judge couldn’t resist teasing them.
Pitcher Brayan Bello of the Red Sox threw behind star player Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees during the sixth inning of their game on Saturday. Rafael Devers of the Red Sox was intentionally walked in the fourth inning by the Yankees, who had earlier hit him with a pitch in the first inning. It seemed that the Red Sox were taking revenge.
But on Sunday, Judge exacted his retribution, hitting his 53rd home run of the year to deep left field as the Yankees defeated the Red Sox 5-2 (winning three of the four games in the series).
Judge was questioned about being thrown at the day before the game on Sunday. He returned with a really brutal reply.
Judge stated, “After playing this game for a while, things like that happen,” according to MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch. “Therefore, I believe the most important thing is to just do it without missing.”
It’s insane that the judge hit the Red Sox there, saying, “If you come at the king, you better not miss.” That was a fantastic way to mock Bello and the Red Sox for their bad aim, given he is a big target at 6-foot-7 and 282 pounds.
The AL MVP front-runner Judge has been purposefully walking more often than getting thrown at because of the kind of season he is having. Judge, though, appears to be prepared for anything that comes his way.
