Packers QB Jordan Love injured in closing seconds of loss to Eagles in Brazil – WKRG News 5

Many Green Bay Packers fans did not want to see Jordan Love’s progress as Aaron Rodgers’ obvious heir apparent to be thwarted by his missing games early in his second season as the starting quarterback.

Love will miss games due to an injury sustained in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil. Although there were rumors that Love would be able to play for Green Bay against the Indianapolis Colts in their home opener, it appears like he will have to watch the game from the sidelines given his absence from team practices in the days leading up to it.

Packers supporters may have to accept that their primary quarterback may miss a few games, but one analyst offers some optimism by projecting when  their star signal caller will return to the squad.

The 25-year-old quarterback should be eligible to play for the Green Bay Packers in Week 4 when they take on the NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings, according to renowned NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Schefter stated, “If you look at the schedule, they play the Vikings at home in three or four weeks.” “We’ll see how he heals here, but that makes sense as a timeframe and place to try to make a return.”

In the best-case scenario, Love would miss just two games: the Tennessee Titans game on the road and the Indianapolis Colts game at home. With a healthy Love, the Packers would have enough time to turn the season around even if they lost both and finished 0-3 overall.

Love played well for the Packers in Week 1 despite being in a strange place—Brazil. He completed 17 passes for two touchdowns and 260 yards. Supporters will be hoping for a better showing against their division rivals if he is able to make a timely return to play the Vikings.
