Following his release by the New York Giants during the final roster purge, Stoll was able to re-join the Eagles. As an undrafted rookie in 2021, Stoll was the only Eagle to make the Week 1 roster. Over the course of three seasons, he appeared in 50 games (26 starts). In that time, he caught 20 passes for 183 yards.
On Wednesday, the Eagles signed safety Caden Sterns and cut tight end from the practice squad. After the moves on Wednesday, there is still a position available on the Eagles practice squad.
Sterns signed a contract with the Eagles on August 11, but a knee injury kept him out of Training Camp. During the roster reduction, he was waived, but he later rejoined the practice squad. On September 3, the Eagles dismissed him.
In 2021, Sterns was selected by the Broncos in the fifth round. Vic Fangio, the defensive coordinator for the Eagles, was the head coach of the Broncos in 2021 when he played for him as a rookie. In Week 1 of the previous season, Sterns sustained a torn patellar tendon, and he was activated off the Physically Unable to Perform list on July 27.
