NFL Report: NFL Fans’ reacts to Cowboys signing of four-time Pro Bowl running back in a fascinating contract deal.

Dalvin Cook to sign with Cowboys

Since the Dallas Cowboys signed four-time Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook, fans of the NFL have been making fun of the team. Cook is nearing the end of his career, despite having been one of the league’s top backs for nearly five years. Jerry Jones made a lot of noise this summer about the team going “all in,” but it doesn’t seem like he has.

Even though the Dallas Cowboys are now the second most loathed club in the league, many NFL fans still enjoy watching Dallas lose. After the deal, this prompted fans to start making jokes about the Cowboys on social media.

The Running Back Room of the Dallas Cowboys Is A Little Older

The four-time Pro Bowler will team up with Ezekiel Elliott, an older back. Even though these two backs were among the greatest in the league, that was over three years ago.

According to Gridiron Heroics’ Jordan Sigler, who had predicted this move back in June:

The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that Cook will sign with the Cowboys on Wednesday.

Cook was chosen by the Minnesota Vikings in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. The New York Jets signed him in the summer of last year. But after Aaron Rodgers had an Achilles injury, he didn’t play much, and the Jets cut him go in January. In order to support the Baltimore Ravens’ postseason run, he signed with them in January.

The Cowboys wanted to add some depth to their running back group, as Jordan mentioned, so it made perfect sense for the group to bring Cook in to provide that extra support. The team ended up with Elliott and Cook after missing out on all of the best backs available to open free agency. Given that they are both nearing the twilight of their careers, fans are not entirely certain that this running back combo will be effective.

The ability of these two backs to impact a Cowboys squad that was among the greatest offensive teams in the previous campaign will have to wait and see. However, fans do not believe that this will occur.

NFL Fans Don’t Think Dalvin Cook Will Sign

The Cowboys lost a number of their most important offensive players this summer after spending the most money in the league on their star receiver, CeeDee Lamb. Even if Jones has added a few players, supporters would never pass up the chance to make fun of America’s Team:

A fan of the Ravens posted on X/Twitter, saying, “2 washed running backs is better than 1!”

“I adore this motion. A Cowboys supporter remarked, “Cook still has a lot to prove and I think he has a lot left in the tank.”

Sports injury analyst and doctor of physical therapy Evan Phillips remarked, “Not sure how much he has left in the tank didn’t look like the same player on the Jets Cowboys now have [two] aging once prolific RB’s.”

A fourth person said, “Cowboys running backs room going to be sponsored by AARP.”

NFL YouTuber JaguarGator9 stated, “Cowboys with Zeke and Cook are assembling the greatest running back duo of 2018.”
