After the Giants unexpectedly cut relations with Johnson, a starter for the Las Vegas Raiders and former New England Patriot, a day earlier, this is a wise move. Big Blue seems happy enough to start the 2024 NFL regular season without one of the best lead blocks in the game throughout that procedure.
When the Giants’ running game is rebuilt without two-time Pro Bowler Saquon Barkley, Johnson can have an impact. It’s reasonable to predict that Johnson will be promoted from the practice squad multiple times in the upcoming months due to his sly worth.
Because of his versatility and ability to fill in at multiple positions, Johnson is a good candidate to play once the meaningful games start. “Johnson could be elevated early in the season since he could have a role as FB and on ST,” stated Dan Duggan of The Athletic.
