On Sunday night, Torres will undoubtedly start at second base once more, but Chisholm, who was just moved back to second base at the request of, uh, well, who knows, should really take over that spot when he lands.

Over the next 48 hours, the Yankees have further transactions planned, most likely including another position player. Curry even stated that Torres is more likely to be tried at third base by the team than Chisholm, but it’s still too early to know. That comment suggests that the organization is still in the market for a third baseman, and it’s possible that adaptability will be the key to Chisholm and Torres’ newfound partnership.
