Breaking: Alabama QB Jalen Milroe explains his decision to stay put after Nick Saban’s retirement.
During his Thursday appearance as a guest on CBS Mornings, Jalen Milroe was questioned over his choice to remain at Alabama in the wake of Nick Saban’s retirement.
Former Katy, Texas, quarterback Milroe was rated as a four-star recruit by the Crimson Tide. Last season, he made 13 starts as quarterback for the Crimson Tide, helping them reach both the SEC Championship and the College Football Playoffs.
When asked why he chose to remain with the Tide after Kalen DeBoer was appointed, the Alabama quarterback answered by mentioning his original motivations for attending Alabama.
Milroe declared, “I’m big on goals, setting short-term goals, long-term goals.” “This past December, I was able to accomplish my initial goal going into college, which went beyond any stat or play on the field: getting my degree in three years.”
Milroe holds a business management degree with a focus on entrepreneurship and is currently working on a master’s degree.
The Tide’s fall camp is quickly approaching, and Milroe and company are preparing to lock back in.
