Breaking: Utah Jazz dismissed two key players due to…….

Following their summer league stints with the Jazz in Utah and Las Vegas, forwards Kenneth Lofton Jr. and Darius Bazley were dismissed by the Utah Jazz.

On Wednesday, July 24, the Jazz said that the experienced forwards were no longer with them.

In six games for the Jazz, Bazley, a previous first-round selection (23rd overall) of the Jazz, averaged eight points, 4.5 rebounds, one steal, and 1.2 blocks. Bazley later transferred to Oklahoma City. During his three games with the Philadelphia 76ers in the previous campaign, he averaged 5.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 60% shooting from the field.

In 237 games, Bazley’s career averages have been 8.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.

Although Lofton Jr. has struggled with weight throughout his career, he seemed to be in better shape going into summer league. As a 6’7 power forward with intriguing skills, he averaged 4.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 21 games with Philadelphia and Utah in the previous campaign. In four games with the Jazz, he averaged 13.8 points, five rebounds, and 4.8 assists on 60% shooting.

In 45 career games, Lofton Jr. averages 4.8 points and two rebounds.
