ESPN: Another talented QB committed to the UNC football.
Watch some video of the prospective Tar Heel passer.
Zaid Lott, a mid-three-star quarterback for 2026, worked out at the Showtime Camp right before declaring his commitment to North Carolina.
Held in June every year since Mack Brown’s return, the Showtime Camp intentionally had an exclusive camper list, in contrast to the other one-day camps that UNC offered earlier in the month. About 65 prospects tried out, the majority of them were ranked highly on UNC’s recruitment board. More than half of the players left with an offer, and more than a dozen came in with UNC offers already.
Lott, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound player, and his Providence Day School classmates played in UNC’s last 7-on-7 of the summer a few days before the Showtime Camp.
Up Front with DL Coach Ted Monachino: The Next Level
The UNC assistant coach appears on the program to talk about his first year of hands-on experience with a crucial position group and his second year in the program.
In football, it all begins up front, and ever before Mack Brown returned to Chapel Hill, fans of North Carolina have been talking a lot about the defensive line. Now, Ted Monachino, the defensive line coach for the Tar Heels, joins Greg Barnes and Tommy Ashley on Inside Carolina’s Next Level as the newest guest. Monachino talks about his journey from the professional levels back to the collegiate game, how that experience affected his coaching expertise, and the position group and players he has to improve for the 2024 campaign in this extensive interview.
