Breaking: Georgia’s Top Wide Receiver Sign A Blockbuster Deal With Tennessee.
Travis Smith Jr., a four-star wide receiver, announced his commitment to the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday, choosing them over Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia. Smith, a 200-pound native of Atlanta, Georgia, finished his junior year at Westlake High School with 53 receptions for 843 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. According to the On3 industry rankings, Smith is ranked as the No. 11 player in Georgia and the 81st overall prospect in the class of 2025.
Following Smith’s commitment, Tennessee’s 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 13 nationally and No. 6 in the SEC. Smith is the Volunteers’ 17th commitment.
Smith joins the Volunteer class as the seventh-ranked recruit in the top 200. Alongside him are four-star offensive lineman Douglas Utu, four-star quarterback George MacIntyre, and four-star EDGE. Four-star wide receiver Radarious Jackson, four-star defensive tackle Ethan Utley, four-star edge rusher Jayden Loftin, and Mariyon Dye.
Head coach Josh Heupel will have another formidable weapon in Smith as the Volunteers try to maintain their status as an upper-epsilon SEC program.
