RIP, lions favorite legend passed away
The wide outs the Lions have on the roster right now are satisfactory.
It is unlikely that the Detroit Lions would sign a wide receiver as a free agency before training camp.
A current free agent’s counsel reportedly told the Detroit Lions Podcast that the front management is not interested in signing a wide receiver before training camp.
Lions writer Jeff Risdon stated, “I know they’re excited about what they have in him, which is why they’re not pursuing any other wide receivers and you will not see other wide receivers brought in.” “Agents have inquired. Detroit is not interested in adding any receivers at this time, according to an agent of a current free agent I know.”
Naturally, Detroit can need to add players to the roster once more if an injury arises or if players don’t live up to expectations during training camp.
That might alter once camp begins, if someone is harmed, or if it turns out that riding the Tom Kennedy roller coaster isn’t worth it. Perhaps they’re hoping for something different there, or perhaps Antoine Green isn’t developing as expected,” Risdon clarified. “I did see some progress from him this spring.”
The Lions seem content with the receivers and where they are at on the depth chart going into training camp.
“They’re not too bad; Amon-Ra, Jamo, Kalif Raymond, and DPJ make up their top four. Inside, they’re cool with that. They don’t really see that right now, but they will improve if given the chance,” Risdon said. “They don’t think that’s necessary, at least not as much as many of the fans do. That is directly from the horse’s mouth and the coaches.
