Graham Gano named Giants' Salute to Service nominee - Yahoo Sports

Iyer predicts that Runyan will earn $10 million by 2024. Pro Football Focus gave him a player grade of 54.7 for committing six penalties and allowing two sacks in 928 offensive snaps. With 85 sacks allowed in a single season, the second-worst offensive line in NFL history did not see any improvement thanks to him.

Having been drafted in 2020, he is much younger than Gano at 26 and has plenty of time to prove that he can bounce back and continue to improve. Not so much the 37-year-old Gano. For the time being, the Giants will continue with both players, but if they don’t live up to their contracts as the 2024 season progresses, things may change.

Going into the 2024 NFL season, the New York Giants have a few costly players on their roster, but according to one analyst, two of their weapons are making too much money for what they are worth.

Giants kicker Graham Gano and offensive lineman Jon Runyan are two of The Sporting News’s most overpaid players for the 2018 campaign, according to Vinnie Iyer (h/t Kevin Hickey of The Sporting News).

Giants: After a rocky 2023 campaign, is Graham Gano overpaid?

The following season is expected to bring in $5.5 million for Gano. In 2023, he made seven of his eighteen field goal attempts, but he was flawless in the PAT department, finishing the campaign with an 8-8 record. Five years removed, Gano did not resemble the Pro Bowl player he was in 2018 and was part of one of the NFL’s more forgettable special teams.

Giants: Jon Runyan will make eight figures in 2023 despite his offensive line’s historically low output.
