An ex-Los Angeles Rams player who was named an All-Pro is prepared to relocate to the Hamptons.
This week, Pharoh Cooper, a seasoned wide receiver, said on his X page that he is officially retiring from the NFL.
Cooper wrote, “Farewell football, I’m officially retiring from the NFL.” “I will always be thankful and give God the praise for allowing me to fulfill my boyhood goal.
Cooper continued, “I’m grateful for all the love and support I’ve gotten from my family, friends, and fans throughout my career. “A lot of love.”
Cooper, then just 29 years old, was selected by the Rams in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft (No. 117 overall). He then joined the Rams as a return specialist after being a receiver, and in 2017 he was selected to the All-Pro team in the latter capacity. Cooper later had stints with the Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New York Giants before being released by the Rams at the end of the 2018 season.
Cooper, a former standout player at the University of South Carolina, had not played for an NFL team since joining Arizona for five games during the 2022 campaign. He is now the most recent former Rams All-Pro to formally announce the end of his career this offseason.
