In Phoenix, Forcier will accompany Budenholzer.

Sarah Todd reports that Chad Forcier, the assistant coach for the Utah Jazz, is going to the Phoenix Suns.

Todd continued by saying that the Jazz will replace the post through internal promotions.

In her most recent article, Todd provided additional context on the scenario.

League sources indicate that Utah Jazz assistant coach Chad Forcier is on his way to Phoenix, where he will become a member of Mike Budenholzer’s coaching staff as the Suns’ head coach.

Given Forcier’s past interactions with Budenholzer—who was just appointed head coach of the Suns to succeed Frank Vogel—the decision is not entirely surprising. Prior to joining Budenholzer’s Milwaukee Bucks staff for four years, Forcier and the coach worked together for several years with the San Antonio Spurs.

Although this is the second Jazz assistant coach to go this summer, the Jazz won’t probably see many changes as a result. We’ll see how they go about filling these roles, although coaches frequently depart over the offseason in search of better opportunities with other teams. Thus far this offseason, the Jazz have not made any significant moves. It is unlikely that this would reveal to fans what the Jazz will be up to. We are currently waiting to see which domino the Jazz will fall next.
