The big guy is once again the talk of the town after being the subject of much conjecture while he was with the Atlanta Hawks. Utah is “expected to shop” Collins this offseason, according to Forbes Sports’ Evan Sidery, despite the fact that the Jazz only got him last summer.

Collins, a seven-year veteran, averages 15.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.0 block per game throughout his career. Moreover, he has made 433 3-pointers in his career, shooting 35.8% from beyond the arc. He shot 40.1 percent from three-point range and averaged 21.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game in his greatest season to date.

To be honest, we concur with Bucher. The Utah Jazz, in our opinion, are only a couple smart moves away from contending for the playoffs. Not even a Devin Booker-sized deal to the Jazz is being discussed. We’re discussing re-signing Kris Dunn, selecting a guy with immediate impact from the draft, and possibly making a mild deal or signing. Acquiring a sharpshooter through free agency and then potentially making a trade for a defensive-minded player such as Isaac Okoro.

With the development of the core you currently have, along with Collin Sexton and Lauri Markkanen, and yes, this is a club that could easily be the sixth-seed. You make those little moves, not even taking into account what additional rookie prospects the team could receive in this year’s draft.
