That has been the prevailing conclusion from a recent Ashton Jeanty write-up. Timelines were swamped with reactive posts about the Boise State standout ‘comparing himself to Saquon Barkley’ yet a peek at his words indicates that isn’t what the guy was saying.
Everyone agrees that Ashton Jeanty is the class’s top running back. He recently wrote the following in a letter to NFL general managers for The Players’ Tribune:
“Most people, they watched the Eagles win the Super Bowl a couple of months ago, they watched Saquon run through everyone in the playoffs, and they thought to themselves, This is amazing,” Jeanty stated. “I had a new thought after seeing it. It may be me, I thought.
As you can see, it wasn’t too horrible, but going ahead, it would be wise to steer clear of comments that combine the names of an NFL offensive player of the year with an NCAA great. But we’ll overlook Jeanty in this instance. Unlike Cam Ward, he did not, at least, give A.J. Brown a backhanded praise.

March went very quickly. The tax deadline has passed, and the NFL Draft noted above indicates that April is almost over. As usual, April Fools’ Day kicked off the fourth month in our wonderful country.
A.J. Brown seems to have received the message two and a half weeks after it was sent. Or perhaps he has been listening to all of the talk about him on 94 WIP-FM.
It’s no secret that A.J. occasionally listens in to Philadelphia’s sports radio. He has undoubtedly heard the conversations by some of the on-air talent if he has done so recently.
Whoa! It was quite close! 11 briefly caught us off guard, but perhaps there is a lesson to be learned. Whether or if the Birds should look into the possibility of reaching out to possible trading partners was one of the subjects of discussion this week.
