Breaking news: A former outstanding quarterback for the Detroit Lions joins the Tennessee Titans.

The Tennessee Titans have signed Tim Boyle, the former journeyman backup quarterback for the Detroit Lions.
The 30-year-old played in three games during his stints with the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants last season. Boyle has made ten appearances and started twice since departing Detroit in 2021, playing for the Dolphins, New York Teams, and Chicago.
After playing for the Green Bay Packers for the first part of his career, Boyle spent some of 2021 and 2022 with the Lions. In 2021, Boyle started three Lions games and threw three touchdowns and six interceptions in three defeats.
Before being acquired by the Bears, he spent a few months on the practice squad after being cut by the Lions following camp in 2022.
However, Boyle finds himself in another intriguing circumstance. The Titans have the first pick in this year’s draft and have just selected quarterback Will Levis in the first round. Most experts and everyone else predict that the Titans will select Miami (Fla.) quarterback Cam Ward at the top of the draft.
The quarterbacks for the Detroit Lions are Jake Fromm, Kyle Allen, Hendon Hooker, and Jared Goff.
The team’s quarterback is Goff. Entering Year 3, Hooker was previously selected in the third round. While Fromm secured a futures contract after being on the practice squad for an entire season, Allen contributes some experience and competitiveness to camp and the offseason program.
