In an interview with Dominican reporters Vian Araujo Puello and Ricardo Rodríguez on the Spanish-language Abriendo El Podcast, Soto stated that he had to choose between five organizations for his negotiations: the Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, and the Mets.
