2022 roster cuts: Detroit Lions reportedly waiving WR Tom Kennedy - Pride Of Detroit

Tom Kennedy, a wide receiver, was cut by the Detroit Lions, and Kalif Raymond may be getting close to returning off injured reserve.

After sustaining a foot injury against the Indianapolis Colts last month, Raymond has returned to practice in recent weeks.

Despite being declared out last week, the veteran wide receiver and former All-Pro punt returner still has a chance to make a comeback before the regular season ends. Raymond has participated fully in both of this week’s practices.

In Raymond’s absence, Kennedy has assisted in filling the vacuum at returner. Additionally, he is accustomed to switching between the practice squad and the roster. Kennedy has made four appearances thus far this season, handling six kickoff returns and one punt return.

Morice Norris, a defensive back, was also added to the Lions’ practice squad. After being added to the 53-man roster last week, Norris played 20 special teams snaps.
