Yankees lefty reliever Tim Hill sidearmed his way into a success story - Pinstripe Alley

According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, left-hander Tim Hill is attracting interest from the Yankees.

In his 35 regular-season outings, Hill recorded a career-low 2.05 ERA and 1.02 WHIP after joining the Yankees in June of 2024.

Hill gave up only one run in ten postseason appearances this season.

Given that Hill is starting his 35th season, the Yankees could be able to re-sign him for a reasonable price.

The only left-handed pitchers on the Yankees’ 40-man roster right now are Max Fried and Carlos Rodon.

Hill has a 3.99 ERA over 322 1/3 innings in seven major league seasons.

Hill was non-tendered by the Padres and signed a one-year, $1.8 million contract with the White Sox last winter.

Mookie Betts Offers Honest Opinions Regarding the Yankees Fan Incident

The former Boston Red Sox player sent the two fans a note full of profanity.

Months after the Fall Classic, Mookie Betts took a different approach to a wild World Series moment.

Two New York Yankees fans attempted to tear the ball out of the former Boston Red Sox star’s glove after he caught a foul ball in the middle of them. The blatant fan interference in Game 4 shocked fans and even provided a laugh given how brazen the attempt was.

Betts played down the strange encounter and took the high road at the time. But this week, he had a change of heart.

On Peacock’s “2024 Back That Year Up,” Betts said to Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson, “I would really say (expletive) you guys.” “It’s wonderful that they’re attempting to get the ball. However, you attempted to seize my (expletive). I was thinking about the ball at them since I was in the moment. Then it hit me—well, you’re not going to (expletive). Indeed, you won’t do (expletive). Return to right field.

The three-time World Series winner was fortunate to escape unharmed. The two supporters missed the Dodgers defeating the Bronx Bombers to win the World Series because they were barred from Game 5.

However, it was evident that Betts’s feelings about the episode were far more complex than he first attempted to convey.
