CBS Sports: Bo Nix Gives the Broncos a Confident Message
It’s difficult for Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos, who have won three straight games, to slow down before their Week 14 bye. According to Jon Heath of the Broncos’ Wire, Nix is eager to return to work following a much-needed recharge. When Nix stated, “We’re going for a playoff spot,” “The season is going to last longer. Therefore, it will benefit us. The boys will presumably love it, but we will also likely be eager to return and do this task properly.”
Three AFC West teams would qualify for the postseason if play started today, including the 8-5 Broncos, who are now ranked seventh in the AFC. Denver’s chances of qualifying for the playoffs are 77%. Nix has shot up the chances leaderboard to win NFL Rookie of the Year because of Denver’s improved status and his outstanding play. Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders immediately established himself as the 2024 season’s favorite, but as the season nears its homestretch, the two signal-callers are getting closer to even odds.
Denver leads other prominent AFC teams including the Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, and Baltimore Ravens by 71 points this season, giving them the ninth-best point difference in the NFL. The Broncos’ first and only game against an AFC South club this season will be against the Indianapolis Colts, the AFC’s eighth seed, following Denver’s Week 14 bye.
