ESPN: Details Of The Yankees’ Meeting With Superstar Regarding Juan Soto Rumors
On Monday, Juan Soto has an important appointment.
The Yankees are scheduled to speak with Soto, the most sought-after player in Major League Baseball free agency. Meetings with other Soto suitors, including as the Toronto Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox, and New York Mets, will precede New York’s time with the superstar outfielder.
Bob Klapisch of NJ.com gave information on the Yankees’ plans for their meeting with Soto on Sunday.
According to reports, manager Aaron Boone, general manager Brian Cashman, and owner Hal Steinbrenner will “drive home the Yankees’ sales pitch.” The “idea of pairing up with Aaron Judge and going to the playoffs practically every year” will be a focal point for that group, according to Klapisch.
It appears that the Bronx Bombers are willing to pay the required sum to acquire Soto as well. Klapisch claims that although Steinbrenner is “all in” on the four-time All-Star, there is no assurance that the Yankees will make the top offer.
Given that one of the most audacious sports owners, Steve Cohen of the Mets, is involved, that is a reasonable assumption.
The Yankees are likely to make a strong offer to the game-changing outfielder, even though the order of Soto’s choices is still a little unclear.
