The former head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders has returned to the spotlight.

Jon Gruden was largely forgotten after he left his position as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021. In the years that followed, he didn’t seem to pursue much attention despite his case against the NFL.

That has significantly changed in the last 12 months. Gruden is attempting to get in front of any available camera. He just secured a contract with Barstool Sports and launched the “Gruden Loves Football” YouTube channel.

We haven’t seen so much Gruden content in years, and you can’t help but believe that there’s a deeper meaning to this. Coincidentally, Boomer Esiason, a former NFL quarterback, revealed some information regarding Gruden’s potential comeback to the football field at the same time as all of this Gruden hype.

“As I speak to you now, I made a few calls last night. I can attest that he is adamant on rejoining. “100%,” Esiason stated on Boomer and Gio on WFAN.

“I can also confirm, and I think this is accurate, that there are teams interested in him. This is again my view after talking to at least two different people who are involved in coaching searches and stuff like that. It will undoubtedly happen next year if not this year. However, he will return. There is no doubt that he will return.

What’s going on here is clear. Gruden believes that he can now begin taking steps to improve his reputation since he has been sufficiently distant from his previous scandal. Despite his desire to coach, he is unlikely to be hired by a team at this time.

However, after he appears on television and resumes showcasing his football expertise, an owner might be persuaded to give him a shot. Despite his disastrous second stint with the Raiders, Gruden is unquestionably a football expert. However, if he does return to coaching, a team will never be able to grant him personnel control.
