Terrace Marshall Jr.: News, Stats, Bio & More - NBC Sports

With Davante Adams now playing for the New York Jets and Jakobi Meyers still recovering from an ankle injury, the Las Vegas Raiders are severely short at wide receiver. As a No. 3 wide receiver, Tre Tucker showed promise, but he hasn’t been able to handle the pressure of being the best choice.

Although the Raiders are unlikely to acquire a costly veteran, they may be able to buy cheaply a young wide receiver who hasn’t yet realized his full potential. Ben Solak of ESPN suggested that Las Vegas trade for Treylon Burks, a wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans.

In a column published on October 23, Solak mentioned Treylon Burks, a wide receiver for the Titans. The Raiders have a plethora of targets available now that Adams is gone and tight end Michael Mayer is not there. The Titans never used Burks as a substitute for A.J. Brown, but I’m still intrigued by the explosive 225-pound receiver’s designed-touch and shot-play potential. Burks might continue to be looked at as a returner on special teams, but he would move into the WR3 position behind Tre Tucker and Jakobi Meyers. He needs to recover from his knee injury first, though.

Terrace Marshall Jr. placed on injured reserve

The Titans have already traded away top wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and they are among the few NFL clubs with a worse record than the Raiders. At the trade deadline, they might be sellers.

Is There Still Potential for Treylon Burks?
In the 2022 NFL Draft, Burks was selected in the first round. He was chosen First-Team All-SEC in 2021 after being a very outstanding college player at Arkansas. At the NFL level, though, that success hasn’t materialized.

He is currently injured once more after missing six games in each of his previous two seasons. He only has 699 receiving yards in 27 career games, so even when healthy, he hasn’t been very successful. Nevertheless, he hasn’t had a chance to remain healthy for an entire season and is still only 24.

There might still be unrealized potential there. This would be a low-risk move for the Raiders. If the Titans were to trade him, it’s unlikely that they would anticipate a significant return. It is likely that he may be acquired for as little as a fifth-round pick. He would also have a contract for the upcoming season. Next year, the Raiders will probably select a quarterback, and they must ensure that whoever he chooses will have quality receivers to pass to.

Terrace Marshall Jr. stepping into larger role

Terrace Marshall Jr. was just signed by the Raiders.
A wide receiver who hasn’t lived up to his draft status was just taken on by the Raiders. Terrace Marshall Jr., a former second-round choice, has been a free agent who hasn’t accomplished much in the NFL.

He was just added to the practice squad by Las Vegas. Marshall only has 64 catches in three seasons, despite having some nice size and speed. He might be on the practice squad, but if Meyers doesn’t recover, he might soon be playing for the Raiders.

Due to quarterback problems, the offense will struggle, but some young wide outs have a chance to show that they can create plays.
