CBS Sports: NFC Star Shuts Down Trade To Dallas Cowboys “That Is Untrue”
With a 3-3 record, the Dallas Cowboys are presently third in the NFC East. Considering that Dallas is coming off three straight seasons with twelve wins, this is not the start that many fans anticipated.
Dallas is predicted by many experts to be buyers before the trade deadline in an effort to add one more player in preparation for a Super Bowl run. One celebrity will not be teaming up, though.
Robert Griffin III, a former NFL quarterback and commentator, suggested getting Kamara to the Cowboys. He posted the following on Twitter/X:
“The Dallas Cowboys should consider selling and acquire Alvin Kamara if the New Orleans Saints keep rotting the place over the next few weeks.”
That does make a little sense. Kamara is currently in the fourth year of a five-year, $75 million contract; however, the Saints have deferred much of that money to the following season, when he will have a $29 million cap hit and the organization and player will need to reorganize.
However, Kamara himself weighed in when the idea of a Kamara-Cowboys connection started circulating on Twitter and X. According to a report that has since been removed, Kamara asked for a trade.
“That’s a lie because I didn’t ask for a trade. “On my way to Knoxville, wearing an orange robe. #WhoDat,” he posted.
