ESPN: Owner of the Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones announce the return of All-Pro linebacker
It’s possible that the All-Pro linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys will return sooner rather than later.
Jerry Jones of the Cowboys said 105.3 The Fan that Micah Parsons is “close” to making a comeback. That most likely won’t occur, though, when the team plays the Detroit Lions in Week 6.
They are going to be closely examined when they are this close. His status for Sunday is uncertain, but we’ll see how things pan out,” Jones told 105.3 The Fan.
During the Week 4 victory over the New York Giants on Thursday night, Parsons sprained his high ankle.
Giants offensive tackle Greg Van Roten rolled up on Parsons’s left leg. With assistance, Parsons left the field, but he ultimately needed to be wheeled back to the locker room.
Parsons was not present for the exciting win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night. Due to a weather delay, the game didn’t end until one in the morning ET.
The Dallas Cowboys are battling with numerous ailments.
Not all Cowboys players are ailing at the moment, including Parsons.
Demarcus Lawrence, the defensive end, is still sidelined following a foot sprain sustained against the Giants. In other news, rookie defensive end Marshawn Kneeland will miss four to six weeks due to a meniscus tear, according to ESPN’s Todd Archer.
Jones disclosed to 105.3 After overcoming a knee injury, the fan believes that left tackle Tyler Guyton has a “good chance” to play against the Lions. However, cornerback DaRon Bland’s foot problem may require longer time.
“He is on schedule, but I don’t think he’ll get there this week.” We assumed he would return after the farewell. We will also observe his performance there this week. It’s not impossible,” Jones said about Bland.
On Sunday, the Cowboys take on the Lions as 3.5-point home underdogs.
