Raiders news: Davante Adams trade talks: What you need to know - Silver And Black Pride

There are reports that the elite wide receiver on the trade block is being courted by the Dallas Cowboys.

The stunning revelation that star wide receiver Davante Adams asked to be traded from the Raiders shocked the NFL world as teams got ready for their Week 5 games, including the Dallas Cowboys against the Steelers on Sunday. The 31-year-old pass-catcher told the organization on Tuesday of his choice, and it’s said that Las Vegas is willing to consider trading Adams in exchange for the ideal package.

It seems sense that teams in need of wide receivers have already begun contacting the Raiders to inquire about the asking price. The Cowboys were one among the clubs keeping an eye on the situation, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

Despite their 2-2 start, the Raiders are here to stay this season. It makes sense that Adams would want to play for a Super Bowl contender at this point in his career, and the Raiders are still a few years away from that status.

Moving on from the standout receiver makes sense for the Raiders as well. Adams’s contract may expire at the end of this season, and his trade value is still quite high. Once again, he had a strong season opener, amassing 209 yards on 18 receptions and a touchdown.

Presumably, the Raiders will search for an early-round selection; a minimum of one second-round selection would be necessary.

The Cowboys should be interested in paying that amount considering they sorely need another exceptional receiver opposite CeeDee Lamb. Given their relationship to Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets will definitely make an offer; however, Dallas needs to outperform that package in order to have a chance to advance their passing offense.
