His NFL career, which included stops with the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots, has given him leadership skills and experience that the Jets secondary may find useful.

Mills has accumulated remarkable stats over his career, including 1.5 sacks, 406 total tackles, 7 interceptions, and 53 pass deflections. Because of his reputation for excellence in open-field tackling and run support, Mills might also help the Jets.
