CBS Sports: Baltimore Ravens sign in Bears sensational player in a blockbuster deal.
Returning to the Baltimore Ravens is Yannick Ngakoue.
Three games into the NFL season, the team is signing the edge rusher, according to a person familiar with the agreement. Because the contract had not been disclosed, the individual spoke to The Associated Press on Monday under the condition of anonymity.
Ngakoue, 29, was traded from Minnesota to Baltimore in 2020, when he played his final game for the team. He played for the Bears in 13 games last season, starting them all, and totaling 22 tackles and four sacks when he was with Chicago.
Since joining Jacksonville in 2016 to begin his professional career, he has accumulated 69 sacks. The Washington, D.C.-born Maryland player has also represented Las Vegas and Indianapolis.
After edging Dallas 28–25 in Week 2, the Ravens are now 1-2. They enter their upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night with the 23rd-ranked defense (they are 32nd out of 32 teams against the pass).
ESPN was the first to report that the Ravens and Ngakoue had an agreement.
