Johnson (34), has been selected to the Pro Bowl five times and was a first-team All-Pro two times. Since the Eagles selected him with the fourth overall choice in the 2013 NFL Draft, he has started all 146 of his games. In the team’s opening two games of the season, he participated in 100% (147) of the offensive snap counts.
In three games this season, Covey, 27, has seven receptions for 34 yards, including one on Sunday for 11 yards. He had 10 catches for 65 yards in 35 games since 2022 for Philadelphia coming into Sunday.
The Saints won the first kickoff, and on the third play from scrimmage, McCoy was hurt. Lucas Patrick, the starting left guard, switched to center, while Oli Udoah took over for Patrick on the line.
After Blake Grupe of the Saints converted a 34-yard field goal on that play, New Orleans (2-0) led Philadelphia (1-0) 3-0 at the half.
McCoy, 27, was taken by New Orleans in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M. He has started all 77 games in which he has appeared. In 2023, he participated in all 1,152 offensive snaps, earning a Pro Bowl selection. In 2019, McCoy was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team.
