CBS Sport: Broncos mega star sustained “Serious” knee injury during match against Steelers.
In front of rookie first-round pick Bo Nix, who has already had difficulty with sacks through his first two games of the regular season, the Denver Broncos will need to make some adjustments.
For the next month, Nix will be without one of his bookend tackles.

Mike Klis of 9News verified the report. In the final moments of the Broncos’ 13-6 loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers, McGlinchey was hurt.
On September 16, Klis reported, “Bo Nix, the quarterback for the Broncos, threw incomplete to the end zone from the Steelers’ 11-yard line with 2:01 remaining in the game.” “As left tackle Garett Bolles tackled opposing edge rusher Alex Highsmith from the opposite side, McGlinchey was blocking T.J. Watt. McGlinchey fell when Bolles and his defender unintentionally rolled him up from behind.
Nix’s loss was all the more tragic because McGlinchey had been a strong advocate for the youngster since he arrived.
In 2023, McGlinchey’s first season with the Broncos, he missed one game.
With the San Francisco 49ers in 2022, he participated in all 17 regular season games as well as three postseason contests. According to ESPN’s Field Yates, he is in the second year of a five-year, $87.5 million contract that the Broncos reworked in March to free up cap space.
After McGlinchey’s injury, second-year tackle Alex Palczewski took over for the seven-year veteran. Palczewski, an undrafted free agent from Illinois in 2023, did not play in a single game during his first season.
According to Pro Football Reference, he has only played two offensive snaps in the Steelers game. Palczewski has played two games in 2024 and has six special teams snaps to his belt.
