CBS Sport: Bills head coach gives injury update on Bills favorite player.
Josh Allen, the quarterback, scared the Buffalo Bills in Week 1 with a hand injury, but the first prognosis looks promising.
Despite the hand injury, Allen has been allowed to practice by Bills coach Sean McDermott and is expected to play on Thursday against the Miami Dolphins.
During the team’s Week 1 victory, Allen was injured while diving for a score with his non-throwing hand. There was some worry about whether the short week may affect his status, but he played out the remainder of the game and reported he was OK afterward.
Playing through injuries is nothing new for Allen, and he seemed unaffected by the problem against the Arizona Cardinals. Using two passing and two rushing touchdowns, he completed 18/23 passes for a total of 232 yards.
Josh Allen, the quarterback (left hand), has been cleared by head coach Sean McDermott to practice and play on Thursday against the #Dolphins.
During this touchdown, Josh Allen’s left wrist was injured when his right elbow struck his left hand or wrist. Since it’s his off hand (left), there’s very little chance of a fracture, therefore he won’t miss any time.
