Jordan Love

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers in their season opener, but Jordan Love is the more pressing issue.

Love needed assistance leaving the field after suffering an injury late in the fourth quarter. He was already juggling a problem with his calf.

During the second half of the Packers’ season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, Love was seen by the television cameras getting treatment on his calf in between drives. Love then endured a terrifying wound in the closing seconds.

As the Packers tried to score a game-winning touchdown, he had to leave the field. On the last play of the game, backup Malik Willis entered the game.

Ahh. After the game, Matt LaFleur indicated to the Packers Radio Network that coach is “very concerned” about Love’s injury but that he will wait for additional testing.

An update on Love’s injury was supplied by Matt Schneidman of The Athletic from Brazil, and it may be positive news.

“It was an injury to the left leg,” Schneidman stated. “After the game, I witnessed Jordan walking independently out of the locker room, so that’s at least encouraging. He didn’t appear to have a very obvious limp.”

After the game, Matt LaFleur spoke with reporters and gave brief responses to all of their questions. Understandably irritated, the head coach of the Packers gave no update on Love’s condition.

Regarding Love’s current situation, LaFleur merely replied, “I’m not sure.” I’m not sure.

Love was injured in a terrifying way with just a few seconds left in the game. Someone had to help him off. Malik Willis took over for the last performance.

With a passer rating of 78.7, the former first-round choice has completed less than half of his attempts for 227 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Love has thrown some money, but surprisingly, she has also missed a few. Love threw a pass too high for Romeo Doubs in the end zone, and he grasped for his calf.

Following the game, Love’s injury should be watched carefully. In their press conference following the game, Love or Matt LaFleur perhaps will address some of these questions.
