Breaking news: Packers Close in to Sign Lions’ Sensational QB in a Blockbuster Deal Following….
Friday, September 6, 2024, marked the start of the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles 2024 NFL regular season in São Paulo, Brazil. Jordan Love, the starting quarterback for the Packers, looked to be hurt with only a few seconds remaining in the game and required assistance to the sidelines.
Love will receive an MRI when the Packers return to the United States, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic. “An ankle injury has been ruled out as of right now, I’m told. As of right moment, we just need to wait and see for further details regarding the injury,” she said on X on September 7. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said that although Love’s “ACL is intact” according to “initial tests,” “there’s a wide range of outcomes based on additional scans, which will occur when the team gets back to Green Bay later today.”
In lieu of Love, the Packers have backup quarterback Malik Willis, who was acquired on August 26th from the Tennessee Titans in a trade. Sean Clifford is another member of their practice squad. But, Green Bay might want to bring in a veteran quarterback to aid if Love’s injury requires a protracted recuperation.
Nate Sudfeld Identified One of ESPN’s Rob Demovsky’s quarterback “options” for the Packers
In a recent story, ESPN’s Rob Demovsky talks about the Packers’ quarterback “options.” He listed a former quarterback for the Detroit Lions as one of the few veterans still available in the NFL in the essay, which was published on September 7.
He stated, “Ryan Tannehill, Trevor Siemian, Kellen Mond, Nate Sudfeld, C.J. Beathard, and PJ Walker are now on the list of veteran NFL quarterbacks out of work.”
Prior to joining the Lions, Sudfeld was a player for the San Francisco 49ers. In 2021, he was alternated between the active roster and the practice squad. He has previously played for Washington and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Packers Might Use Ryan Tannehill
Not everyone is aware of Sudfeld. Writer Mike Luciano listed former Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill as his top choice to replace Love in a September 7 story for FanSided’s Lombardi Ave.
