ESPN: Days before the Broncos game, Seahawks sign Cowboys’ sensational starter in a Blockbuster Deal.
Days before the Seattle Seahawks take on the Denver Broncos in the season opener, the team made a number of roster changes. Quinton Bohanna, a former Dallas Cowboy, and Kenneth Odumegwu, a former Green Bay Packers defensive end, were added by Seattle.
To make way for the new players, the Seahawks also cut defensive lineman Kyon Barrs and tackle Max Pircher. Veteran Bohanna has shown in previous years that he is capable of playing important reps.
In 2022, the defender made nine starts for the Cowboys and recorded 19 tackles. Bohanna played for both the Tennessee Titans and the Detroit Lions in the previous campaign.
Prior to the signings, Seattle had a workout this week that included Bohanna and Odumegwu. According to Aaron Wilson of Houston KPRC, the Seahawks also visited with defensive end Tramel Walthour, tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden, quarterback Josh Love, and wide receiver Kaden Davis.
What’s New with the Seahawks and Kadarius Toney?
We looked into the potential of the Seahawks signing quick wide receiver Kadarius Toney earlier in the week. After being cut by the Chiefs, Toney paid a visit to the Seattle Seahawks.
Toney is still unsigned and is anticipated to consult with other organizations before to deciding. It would be shocking at this point if Toney signed with Seattle before Week 1.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, “Kadarius Toney completed his free agency visit with the Seahawks,” in a message shown on X on September 4. “Nothing was signed while traveling. Toney may require at least one more visit while he considers his alternatives.
The Seahawks are a 6-point favorite over the Broncos.
In the Pacific Northwest, we’re excited to see the Mike Macdonald era begin. As Broncos quarterback Bo Nix makes his NFL debut, something tells us Seattle’s defense could be quite successful.
Expect Macdonald to devise coverages to rock the rookie, which will put a lot of pressure on Nix. Against the Broncos, the Seahawks are a 6-point favorite.
