CBS Sport: Bills head coach give injury update on Bills favorite player.
Four days remain until the Buffalo Bills’ 2024 season opener, so the team is probably OK with the injuries they currently have on file. All members of the team participated fully in practice on Wednesday, with the exception of one player who was tagged as a limited participant.
Due to an oblique injury, rookie defensive end Javon Solomon was the only player who was absent from practice. His present health for Sunday is unknown, but given his depth chart position behind veterans Greg Rousseau, AJ Epenesa, and Von Miller, it’s likely that he won’t play much.
Mitch Trubisky, the backup quarterback, was limited because he was still healing from a preseason knee injury. Trubisky’s availability for Sunday’s game is also questionable, but in the event that he is ruled out, Mike White, the third-string quarterback, will be promoted from the practice squad to serve as the backup.
Several players who were previously listed as injured, such as wide receiver Curtis Samuel, tight end Quinton Morris, and safety Cole Bishop, all participated in complete practice sessions. It is anticipated that all three will be able to play on Sunday.
Many Bills fans might be surprised by this injury report because the team had injury problems for the most of training camp and the preseason. They are currently recovering just in time for the team’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.
