ESPN: Browns Look to Exploit the Cowboys in an unbelievable manner.

Former Cleveland Browns cornerback Hanford Dixon believes the club has a great chance to take advantage of a weak Cowboys secondary as they get ready for their season opener against the Cowboys. Dixon thinks the Browns’ receiving group can have a big impact because Dallas is missing important defensive players, such as cornerback DaRon Bland, who was just placed on Injured Reserve due to a broken foot.

In an interview with The Hanford Dixon Show podcast, Dixon said that former Cowboy wide receiver Amari Cooper would have plenty of space to work with against his former team. “This guy (Bland) broke his foot, and he’s going to be out, like you said, for five or six games,” Dixon said, highlighting the possibility that Cleveland’s passing game will take advantage of Dallas’s weakness. “I think he (Amari Cooper) can get loose because…”

In addition, Dixon emphasized the potential “big, big role” that rookie Jerry Jeudy, who was acquired by the Browns this offseason, could have against the Cowboys. After recovering from a hamstring injury, Jeudy and quarterback Deshaun Watson have been developing a close bond. Watson is anticipated to make Jeudy a top target in 2024.

Jamari Thrash, a rookie wide receiver, has also shown promise in the preseason, which raises hopes. Thrash caught a long touchdown pass in the Seattle Seahawks’ final preseason game, and Dixon congratulated him for that outstanding play. Dixon said, “Not only can he run, this kid is showing us that he can catch a little bit,” suggesting that Thrash would be a useful addition to a room with plenty of receivers.
