CBS sport: Kansas City Chiefs close in to sign Raiders sensational player in a blockbuster.
In an attempt to get receiver Davante Adams out of the Chiefs’ hair, are the Las Vegas Raiders preparing for a bidding war?
Because Adams is related to quarterback Aaron Rodgers, there will always be rumors that he is going to sign with the New York Jets. However, there is now talk that the dangerous Adams may leave the AFC West and the AFC in general, which may be good news for the Chiefs.
The 33rd Team claims that the Detroit Lions could be involved.
“Everyone wants to see Davante Adams on the Jets, and the idea of pairing Aaron Rodgers with a familiar face in Adams makes sense,” Ian Valentino wrote. “But, the 31-year-old might be better served by joining the league’s most entertaining offense with the Detroit Lions, who are currently America’s team. Detroit ought to go all in, and its WR2 position isn’t good enough to win a Super Bowl.”
We can continue to focus on Valentino’s points. “Who wants to see Adams play for the Jets?” Not at all.Is the Lions currently ‘America’s Team’? No. (The phrase “right now” is a moniker for the Cowboys; it is untrue.) Can’t Detroit win a Super Bowl in its current configuration? We also disagree with that.
However, remove Adams from the AFC? KC is okay with it, yes.
