ESPN: Raiders Release Key Player And Sign In Former UFL Linebacker.
The 2023 season was a complete disaster for the Las Vegas Raiders, who struggled to get anything out of seasoned quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and had to deal with Josh McDaniels’ replacement as head coach in Antonio Pierce.
Now, their goal is to move past that and achieve some success in 2024.
Despite not being predicted to be major players in the AFC this season, the Raiders could have one of the better defenses in the league thanks to defensive end Maxx Crosby, who has developed into one of the best players in the NFL at his position.
Over the past few years, Crosby has transformed the Raiders into a formidable defensive team. With Christian Wilkins, Nate Hobbs, and Jack Jones joining him, he may have some quality surrounding him.
With experienced journeyman Gardner Minshew recently selected as the starter over Aidan O’Connell, the quarterback position is questionable at best despite the offense featuring prominent players like Davante Adams, Brock Bowers, and Jakobi Meyers.
Nevertheless, the Raiders will have to focus on their defense, and they just signed linebacker DaShaun White and cut wide receiver Jeff Foreman in an effort to strengthen that unit going ahead, according to Raider Nation Radio.
The Raiders are attempting to complete their roster and get ready for the impending 17-game grind by assembling the best players on both sides of the ball, just like every other NFL team is doing at the moment.
Before joining the Raiders, White was a member of the UFL’s Michigan Panthers. To make the team before the start of the regular season, he will need to demonstrate his abilities.
