The goal for the New York Giants in 2024 is to rebuild their team. Their record has been losing in six of the last seven seasons. A huge four-year contract that extends through the 2026 season was awarded to Daniel Jones.

Given that observers believe Jones cannot be “that guy” in New York, that contract has occasionally been called into question. But Brian Daboll, the head coach of the Giants, had some remarks to make regarding his quarterback.

According to Daboll, via Giants.com, “I thought there were two plays that we’d like to have back, but I thought he played fast.” “Practice makes all the difference in the world. He was able to practice his rush, his ability to take a hit, and his 12-yard scramble by getting some real-world experience. However, I believe he did a good job in the pocket.

“Obviously, we’ve talked about the backup play (Pitre’s touchdown), and we’d all like to have that one back,” he continued. Hyatt receives a one-on-one toss down the sideline following the interception.

You must, therefore, do a good job of clearing some room, climbing up, and providing them with an opportunity. Then we have to go up there and get the ball if it’s up there. As the game progressed, I felt he made a lot of wise choices, made some excellent throws, and guys generated some separation and a few drops. However, it was beneficial for him to play live ball for the first time after a lengthy absence.

Many admirers believed that Jones had demonstrated he is no longer the right man for New York, in addition to the fact that Daboll’s remarks about him were incorrect.
