During Sunday Night Baseball, the outfielder for the Mariners was wearing a hot mic, which resulted in an amazing clip during the second inning.

Victor Robles, an outfielder for the Seattle Mariners, was given a microphone during Sunday Night Baseball between the M’s and the New York Mets. As the network always hopes for, the hot mic produced another amazing audio clip for the home crowd.

Ben Gamel, the right fielder for the Mets, drove a hard hit ball to the right side of the infield in the top of the second inning on Sunday night. To get the last out of the inning, Mariners second baseman Jorge Polanco made an amazing diving stop to his left and threw out Gamel from his knees.

Polanco’s play drove Robles into a hot-mic frenzy.

When Polanco made a pivotal play early in the game that stopped the inning and kept many runners from reaching scoring position, Robles’ happiness and enthusiasm were evident.

Polanco gave the Mariners an early 1-0 lead in the bottom half of the first with his 11th home run of the season, capping off an excellent defensive play.

It was quite the mic’d up moment for ESPN and quite the start to the game for Polanco.
