Breaking: Cowboys top man ruled out due to injury.
Following the joint practice with the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is not expected to participate in Friday’s light session due to ankle pain.
It is not seen as serious and was described by the team as “precautionary reasons.” Prescott was not going to play in the Cowboys’ preseason opener against the Rams on Sunday. Since Mike McCarthy took over as coach in 2020, he has not participated in a preseason game.
Thursday was the Cowboys’ most competitive session of training camp. On July 29, Prescott turned thirty-one, yet he didn’t seem to be restricted in his travels.
Following some practices prior to training camp last month, Prescott was temporarily forced to wear a walking boot due to what was termed as a right foot sprain.
